The Book’s Organization

• Jeff gives us 37 chapters and each one is centered on a Friday Focus. This is a weekly communication tool for the staff that provides insight into a specific aspect of teaching and learning for all to reflect on. Each week the memo is sent via email to all staff including support staff and the staff at central office. Memos are written by Jeff as well as other staff members and are research-based. Jeff finds that this effort shares new strategies and practices, and builds a sense of collegiality, collaboration, and school pride. Rather than summarize all 37 Friday Focus memos, I offer sample summaries to give you a solid understanding of what to expect if you purchase this book.
