The Dreaded NCLB Subgroups and Graduation Status

• Both the executive summary screen and the Student Statuses screen can be filtered by graduation status or NCLB subgroup. The status choices are: All, Graduated, Still Enrolled, Dropped Out, Transferred to GED, and Received IEP Diploma. In case you forgot, the NCLB subgroups are: Students with Disabilities, Economically Disadvantaged, Limited English Proficient, American Indian/Alaska Native, Black/African American, Hispanic/Latino, Asian/Hawaiian/Other Pacific Islander, White, and Multiracial. All of these subgroup reports are run at extract time. This means that when you click the drop down box to choose your report on either page they appear almost instantaneously. This is another big advantage over most systems that make you wait while records are selected, sorted, and formatted.
