Ignoring The Basics

• If you were to approach any random group of people and try to see how many of them can complete simple writing tasks and or exhibit basic math skills, you will likely find that most of them cannot. This fact is an unfortunate but pervasive one in today’s society. So many schools are placing an emphasis on heavy science programs and the latest technological equipment in these areas that they forget what it is that they are supposed to be focusing on. In order to succeed in life, schools need to teach their students how to perform basic and necessary skills. If they don’t, then schools risk their students missing out on job opportunities later on.
