Common Core

• For those who have been paying attention to the academic climate recently, you probably know that the Common Core Standards are being introduced. Basically, the goal is to have all states follow the same standards. It’s hard to bring such a uniform requirement down upon an entire country because not all states, or even areas within the states, have the same tools available for teaching. While state standards might be okay to implement, you do not want to have to deal with competing against the entire country! Schools must realize that these types of standards are simply too much for children to handle.
