Dr. Doug’s Flood of 2011 Story Page 7 added 9/23

9/13 Update:

  • After two long days of throwing my belongings into the street, I am almost ready to camp out in my new 3rd floor apartment in the same building. My furniture consists of a mattress, two chairs, a table, two bar stools, and some camping furniture. The apartment also contains the entire belongings of another 1st floor refugee who is out of two for the next two weeks. I have been staying with my friend Jan Slack in Vestal and her place got electricity yesterday afternoon. It was great to have lights and not have to flush the toilet with water from the neighbor’s pool. It was also nice not having to use dry ice to keep food cold. I still have more work to do to empty my old apartment but I am seeing light at the end of the tunnel. I hope to be back in business with my net nuggets tomorrow and I am woking on a great new book summary. Thanks for your support. If you get a chance, tell your friends about my blog.
