Leaders need accurate information and once they have it, they can use it to target their support. You want to keep close to the action without micromanaging. You should be checking in, not checking up. Management is complex and some research shows that progress checklists can make a difference. Checklists can also track catalysts and nourishers and facilitate end-of-day reviews.
