  • Costs have plummeted for bandwidth, storage, and processing. Today’s computer is yesterday’s super computer, which can download all of the world’s knowledge. E-commerce companies can stock anything no matter how small the demand. Schools can offer any class regardless of enrollment. Memorizing is less important than being savvy at accessing. It is easier to promote a student’s passion and be more student-centered. Internet access is expanding to almost anywhere. Learning is not limited to schools. Classes often have “Google Jockeys” who look up stuff that comes up. More books are available online each day and many authors are giving books away to promote themselves for paying jobs.
