This book is written for teachers who are not technology enthusiasts but who still want to harness the power to benefit their students. Many schools have taken the ready, fire, aim approach to technology and failed to offer necessary support. Leaders need to make tech use a district priority or teachers will just focus on what’s on the high-stakes tests. They should share research that shows its success, provide effective training, and hire support people with good interpersonal skills. It needs to be safe, reliable, and developmentally appropriate.
