Advantage 2 – Time to Decide
- Community colleges are an excellent testing ground if you’re a student that hasn’t solidified a career path choice. Many of us don’t really know what we want to be when we leave high school, and using a community college can help you determine what you are passionate about. Blowing twice the money and failing at something you think you might be interested in will only hurt you academically and financially. It is best for you to work out what it is you want to do before transferring to a four-year college.
- Some people don’t bother with a four-year college degree after finishing community colleges as many two-year degrees prepare you for the work force. Most of the time, it is experience that will get your foot in the door. In today’s economy, there are even fewer students who can afford continuing their education past the community college stage.
